Veterans Administration Authorized Provider
Sentara Urgent Care is a Veterans Administration Authorized Provider, which means VA beneficiaries can be seen in our clinics. In order to be eligible under this program, patients must be enrolled in the VA healthcare system and have received care through VA from either a VA or community provider within the past 24 months.
Other important things to know:
- The Sentara Urgent Care front office will verify eligibility with TriWest
- No payment is required at time of service
- The VA will bill the patient whatever copayment is due, ranging from $0 to $30 depending on the veteran’s status
- There is no limit on the number of times a veteran may use urgent care under this benefit
