Appointments

Sentara Therapy Center strives to make appointments convenient for our patients. Therapy evaluation appointments will be accommodated within three business days of the referral date. Same-day and next-day appointment availability will be accommodated for immediate post-operative patients or patients with acute conditions upon request of the referring physician.

Communicating with Your Doctor

We value communication with your doctor while you're part of the Sentara Therapy Center program, and will discuss your progress or any change of treatment with your physician.

You can be sure your doctor will be kept up to date regarding your progress in our program. Your therapist will send the initial evaluation report to your doctor within 48 hours of your first appointment. Follow-up progress reports will be sent every 30 days or before any appointments with your physician. Discharge summary - including therapy outcomes - will be provided at the conclusion of your therapy.
