Cancer Treatment
Good nutrition is an essential part of cancer care and should be addressed as soon as possible after diagnosis. At Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, our registered dietitians are prepared to help you with various side effects that treatment may cause, such as nausea, painful swallowing, taste changes, mouth sores, diarrhea, constipation and weight loss.
Weight Loss Surgery
Weight loss surgery requires a drastic change in eating habits before and shortly after surgery. If you have undergone bariatric surgery, you will gradually ease into a solid food diet as your new stomach heals. Weight loss surgery requires a lifelong commitment to eating specific healthy foods in reduced portions.
Heart Health
We offer individual counseling sessions to patients enrolled in a Sentara cardiac rehab program.
