Mary Morin
Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer
Mary Morin oversees nursing practice and care across Sentara, Employee Health/Worker’s Compensation (33,000+ employees), and other system clinical support services, including infection prevention and control, accreditation and regulatory, system resource allocation, emergency management/business continuity, virtual nursing/remote patient monitoring, clinical education, environmental health and safety, and advance nursing and professional practice.
Prior Experience
Prior to current position Mary was Vice President, Clinical Effectiveness, Employee Health and Worker’s Compensation for Sentara Health, responsible for system services: infection prevention and control, accreditation/regulatory, emergency management/environmental health and safety, patient safety, and quality management.
Mary has held CNO and executive leadership positions in Sentara and other health care systems, including INOVA Fairfax Hospital/INOVA Heart and Vascular Hospital/INOVA Women and Children’s Hospital, Riverside Regional Medical Center, and Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center. In addition, Mary is a retired US Navy Nurse Corps Officer having served for 25 years.
