Sentara Healthcare earns 2022 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired recognition
Sentara Healthcare has been named one of the nation’s “Digital Health Most Wired” health systems by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This is the 20th year that Sentara has been recognized by CHIME. The Digital Health Most Wired program conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively healthcare organizations apply core and advanced technologies into their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities. Sentara received a “Quality Award” in the Ambulatory category and “Special Recognition” in the Acute category.
“We are proud to be recognized by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives for the application of technology into our clinical and business programs,” said Tim Skeen, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Sentara Healthcare. “Sentara prioritizes solutions that most benefit our patients and members in the communities we serve.”
The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive “Digital Health Check-up” for healthcare organizations across the world. As success in digital health increasingly determines the quality of patient care, the scope of the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reinvent healthcare for a new century.
Among the more than 38,000 organizations surveyed by CHIME, Sentara ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement. The survey assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading.
