Dana Adkins, M.D.

Dr. Adkins earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN, in 2003. He completed his internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA, in 2004. Dr. Adkins graduated from Georgetown University's neurosurgery residency program in 2013 and moved to Seattle, WA, to complete his complex spine fellowship at The University of Washington in 2014. Dr. Adkins' background includes five years of active service in the U.S. Navy, primarily as a medical officer for a SEAL team in Pearl City, HI. His military service led him to become a neurosurgeon. He is experienced in adult and pediatric scoliosis, brain and spine tumors, cerebrovascular and skull base neurosurgery, pituitary tumors, Gamma Knife and CyberKnife radiosurgery. Dr. Adkins is focused on helping patients choose between traditional open and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Adkins is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Society.
